You can go directly to the port to buy your tickets the same day (a good hour in advance anyway...) or the day before. The ferry leaves every day at 8am for Sape on Sumbawa. It will take you 8 hours to reach your destination.

From Sumba, at the port of Pelabuhan Waekelo, ferry departures are on Tuesdays and Fridays. However, we advise you to check timetables and any changes a few days in advance... Many things can change for incomprehensible reasons...
