Erected in 1703, this grotto served as a place of meditation and strategic planning for the sultans of Cirebon in their struggle against the Dutch. It features a labyrinth-like configuration, embellished with pools and gardens, with low doors that seem to open the pathways to eternity. The name Sunyaragi derives from the fusion of the words "sunya" meaning "calm" and "ragi" meaning "body".
