If you ask a Bandung resident where to go for satay, they'll probably recommend Sate Kardjan, a legendary family-run restaurant in the center of town. For over forty years, lamb has been the star dish. To try: sate buntel (thin slices of grilled lamb), tong seng (lamb in coconut milk), nasi goreng kambing (fried rice with lamb), which you'll eat on plastic plates. Ask them for the peanut sauce to accompany these delicacies. A little hidden treasure, not directly visible from the main street.
