This museum, housed in a typical Dutch gabled house dating from 1912, was converted into the Old Batavia Museum in 1939. It exhibits a collection of puppets including "kulit" (wayang kulit buffalo leather puppets) and wooden "wayang golek". In addition, it presents a varied collection of puppets from other Asian countries such as China, Cambodia and India, as well as from France, including five puppets from Lyon, including Guignol.
