BIG BOUAKÉ MARKET

If today it is rebuilt following two major fires in 2019 and 2020, it is a testimony to Bouaké's vocation as a commercial hub. Also called "super market", the equivalent of Rungis, it is huge (the first market in the country). Villagers from the surrounding area come here to buy and sell their produce. In addition to a wide variety of food products that reflect the richness of the land, one can find all the handicrafts of the region: woven or painted cloth, gold weights and Baoule sculptures, pottery, wood, bronzes, etc.
