La basilique notre dame de la paix est la fierté de la Cote d'Ivoire mais surtout de la ville de Yamoussoukro. elle est située après le palais présidentiel, elle est accessible à toute personne mais pour la visitée il faut s'acquitter de la somme de 1000f pour les grandes personnes et 500 francs cfa pour les enfants. A l’intérieur vous avez en image sur les fenêtre les dessins de Jésus, de sa mère Marie ainsi que ceux des apôtres, quand aux sièges ils sont très confortable et vous pouvez même y faire vos messe. alors n'attendez plus venez visiter la basilique de mon beau pays.

We went to the basilica every Sunday morning. There is a religious desk at 10:30. We have visited only first gardens not to suffer too much from the heat. We then busy mass which although a little long (2h) was worth the detour for songs and atmosphere. We then the guided tour for a price of 2000 cfa francs per person (price for european). The guide offers many information, including figures (many figures, me I did not only remember that the basilica could accommodate 17,000 people). But it is worth it. The visit lasts about 45 minutes.

The highest basilica in the world. Superior St Pierre de Rome. It was a little absurd idea of Houphouet Boigny. It is a huge building majestic, but almost lost in the middle of a desert, and generally hopelessly empty.
