Tulcea is now equipped with a nice renovated station. The city is a little isolated, in the end, and the train is not necessarily the best way to get there. But, destined to become a real tourist pole, Tulcea is now served by a fast local train (Sageata Albastră), which joins Bucharest in 4 hours 30 (instead of 5 to 6 hours 20 of the "normal" trains). Towards Constanţa, however, it is still slow (4 to 4 hours). If not, 5 trains per day to Medgidia (3 hours drive), where many trains can be taken to Bucharest, Constanţa and Mangalia.
