Twinned with Épinay-sur-Orge, it is a small Catholic village with a population of 4 200 and a monastery. The traditional two-bedroom houses are still in wood and, when they are no longer, the roof still remains.

Each is surrounded by a flowered garden and fences. The well, often covered, is outside, at the edge of the road, where the animals go freely: geese, dogs and turkeys. Hills covered with forests, rivers, fruit gathering, rural life: that is what you expect.
