AUBERGE DU NORD (CHEZ MURARA)

In the city centre, close to the stop of the minibuses, this hostel is the oldest in Kirundo and belongs to Tharcisse Murara, a Rwandan resident in Burundi since the 1960 s. The rooms are located at the rear of the front bar and were renovated in 2012. Furniture is elementary, but the whole is clean. You can eat in the back yard of the hotel, or in the bar-restaurant on the front. In front of the hotel, the East African Car Express offers bus connections between Kirundo, Rwanda and Bujumbura.
