This production and trade cooperative that has existed since the late 1980 s in Gitega is a «must» of tourism in Burundi. Originally, its activities were oriented towards the production and sale of agricultural and livestock products, but its artisanal sector subsequently developed successfully.
The Magasin Youth Shop in Jabe is the oldest in the capital; Kigobe, near Boulevard du 28 November and the cabaret at Gérard, opened in 2009. Both offer reasonable prices for quality food products (rabbits and poultry, eggs, butter and milk, fruits and vegetables…), as well as original furnishings, and especially ceramics recognizable to their specific geometric motifs.

Bonne adresse pour acheter le fromage local, et les produits de premières nécessités. Accueil chaleureux mais un peu lent.

Endroit idéale pour faire les achats pour une semaine, on y trouve tout, produits loch-ale, de saison, grand choix produits laitier de qualité (local), viande, fruits, légumes, snacks, quiches, gâteaux, pain un peu sec... Attention horaires lu-sa 8h00-16h30 . Côté service il faut y aller avec de la patience, attendre son tour etc.
