Suanbo, south of Chungju, is famous for its hot spring. Known for 250 years, its water comes out at 53°C, but is said to be excellent for treating skin diseases, gastric problems, etc. The spring baths are located in hotels. Suanbo is a tourist complex rich in hotels and restaurants but none really stand out. The setting is pretty. Not far from Suanbo is the small ski resort of Sajo Maeul. One can thus, the winter, appreciate the winter sports before coming to soak in the baths of youth. And finally, Suanbo is an excellent starting point to the Woraksan National Park and the Mireuksaji Temple.
