In case of conflict or "incident", it is closed to tourism. There is a beach (Sagot) in the sand so dense and flat that a plane could land there at low tide. Legend still says that there is only one similar beach in the world, in Italy. The others are pebble beaches. Many rocks with evocative shapes surround the island. It is possible to take a boat tour. In the northeast, an island is called the seal island, because it is the only place in Korea where these animals are found. There are many yeogwans and restaurants since tourism is allowed.
