Plataran is a Jakarta-based hotel group that aims to put Indonesia on the world map. It operates luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants and private cruises throughout the island. Plataran Menjangan Resort & Spa is located in the western part of the island, in the national park. You will find 175 varieties of plants and 167 species of animals including the endangered Bali starling. The resort offers you a stay in the middle of the Plataran forest or by the sea, in luxury villas. For relaxation, the resort is equipped with a spa, an infinity pool. It also plans excursions on the island and various activities such as snorkeling, kayaking or volleyball. At the Octagon Ocean Club, the resort's main restaurant, you'll be able to enjoy a grilled lamb chop while taking in the splendid view of the national park and the ocean. We have a wonderful stay at the resort and the staffs provided a wonderful service. The food from Octagon Ocean club are scrumptious and we really enjoy the variety. It is very refreshing dipping into the infinity pool in the hot afternoon and their Balinese massage is very relaxing and we almost falls into a sleep. We did the kayaking and snorkeling in the jetty and see so many fish. The highlight for us is to see the deers up close and also the Bali Starling when we are doing the Forrest walk.
Pendant notre séjour, nous avons nagé et fait de la plongée avec tuba près de la jetée tous les jours, admirant les récifs coralliens et les poissons. Nous avons également participé à deux excursions de plongée avec tuba sur l'île de Menjangan, où les récifs coralliens étaient parmi les plus sains et les plus dynamiques que nous ayons connus, ce qui est fortement recommandé.
En ce qui concerne les repas, les options de petit-déjeuner étaient quelque peu limitées en variété, mais il y avait beaucoup de choix pour le déjeuner et le dîner. Même si les prix des repas et des alcools étaient légèrement plus élevés, la qualité était bonne et nous avons vraiment apprécié la cuisine ici. Si nous devions revenir à Bali, nous choisirions volontiers cet endroit.

We spent the New Year holiday here for five nights. The resort is nestled within the jungle, overlooking the beautiful mangrove forests and coastline.
During our stay, we swam and snorkelled by the jetty every day, admiring the coral reefs and fishs. We also joined two snorkelling trips to Menjangan Island, where the coral reefs were among the healthiest and most vibrant we've experienced, highly recommended.
Regarding dining, breakfast options were somewhat limited in variety, but there were plenty of choices for lunch and dinner. While the prices for meals and alcohols were slightly higher, the quality was good, and we quite enjoyed the cuisine here. If we were to visit Bali again, we would gladly choose this place.

Plataran Menjangan is very beautiful, calm and comfortable|we got excellent service from all the staff, They gave us sweet smiles from the moment we arrived at the resort until we returned home|the rooms are very nice, clean and awesome, we will come again soon

Ein ganz besonderer Ort, an dem man sich gut erholen kann. Oder lernen, nämlich über die Natur, Tiere usw. auf Bali. Ich war leider nur 2 Tage dort und war ein bisschen krank, daher habe ich nicht viel unternommen, muss ich ehrlich zugeben. Aber es gibt tolle Angebote für Gäste.||Die Angestellten sind zauberhaft! Ich wurde mit einem Blumenkranz und einer Nackenmassage begrüßt.||Das Restaurant liegt toll mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Essen war fabelhaft!||Einen Strand gibt’s am Hotel nicht (Shuttle zum anderen Strand ist möglich), dafür einen schönen Pool.
