Located 230 km northeast of Zahedan, the city itself does not have much interest, but the road to visit it, along with the Sharh-e Sukhteh site 40 km southwest of the city, makes it an interesting excursion for one or two days. From the exit of Zahedan, the road winds in the middle of rocky peaks. By location, ruined caravansals built next to the date palms are nestled in the relief, witness of the commercial past of this road. At the exit of the rocky massif, Pakistan appears on the right side of the road. The relief is flat, crossed by a few small sand dunes. About fifty kilometers from Zabol, on the left, is the site of Sharh-e Sukhte, a former city of the Iranian plains. By continuing the road, a huge wind turbine marks home return. Rural villages in clay construction are succeeding; among them, the charming village of Loupak with its main street made up of plots of land. No modern construction on the horizon, the journey turns into a journey through time. Finally, a roundabout marks the entrance to Zabol. The bazaar is the only point of interest. Here, we do not go shopping, but rather see the Zaboli with their big white turban on the head, and flank the lap atmosphere in the alleys where medicines are sold on the ground and where a few individuals are crossed with the trash and the trash. From Zabol, the Kuh-e Khajeh site, 60 km southwest of the vill, can be an additional visit. Located in the desert, visit it requires an adapted vehicle. Due to its remote situation, the police limit the tourist's trip to the site, especially when they are alone. We could not go there when we went to Zabol.
