The Lieu province, located at 1 100 m altitude, Semnan has 140 000 inhabitants, including a suburb. The city centre, clean and pleasant, is built around the bazaar, the Djameh Mosque and the old governor's palace. Possibly useful step, on the Tehran-Machhad axis, to restore or simply sleep. Nevertheless, the unsatisfactory commune has little interest in the strict plan of the sites.
