TCHALAGI OGHLI MAUSOLEUM

This mausoleum of 1320, much more modest and octagonal shaped like most Sufi buildings, is flanked by une (Koranic school) in the process of being restored.

Back on the main road towards Zanjang, one understands by observing the topography of the places, the evidence that there was, for the Mongols, to want to base their capital here, in this vast plain so close to the Mongolian steppes.
