MINERALOGICAL MUSEUM

To visit this museum, which boasts a collection of over 600 samples of various minerals, you need to contact Gécamines' PR department (as for a visit to the industrial site). The museum is located on the Gécamines Groupe Centre site, so access is by permit only. In addition to minerals, the museum contains archaeological remains from the region, including the famous copper "croisettes" used as currency, and other ancient tools dating back to the ^16th century.
