BENJIN AGRI FARM

The Benjin Agri farm is essentially an agro-pastoral initiative that is also developing an ecotourism component for visitors in search of peace and nature. The farm produces vegetables, corn, cocoa and rice; poultry, pigs and goats; and fish. These products are destined for the surrounding villages and Lubumbashi. In addition to agricultural production, this 12,000-hectare estate offers a wide range of activities and catering in bungalows and straw huts in harmony with the natural surroundings. Most dishes are prepared using local produce (meat and vegetables from the farm). Accommodation is available, but in rather spartan conditions, given the poor state of the bungalows. Donkey rides and horseback riding are also available. There's also a pond where you can relax in the water (pedal boat, fishing...) and, above all, generate the energy needed for the entire site and its operation. And since 2020, the farm has also been developing a small zoo (Tambo Park) with a number of local species, including lions, a reptile park, crocodiles, monkeys, parrots, antelopes and more. In conclusion, a trip to Benjin Agri is a good idea if you opt for a relaxing day out with family or friends. On the other hand, planning a week's vacation is not advisable until the sleeping facilities and other infrastructure have been further developed.
