Inaugurated in 1952, the Roi Baudouin stadium was renamed Stade du 20 mai in 1967 by Mobutu, before being renamed Stade Tata Raphaël in 1997 in homage to Father Raphaël de la Kethulle, founder of several sporting institutions. The stadium is famous for having hosted the boxing "fight of the century" between Mohamed Ali and G. Foreman on October 30, 1974. Foreman.
