Don't miss these 5 days of festivities, when one of the biggest traditional festivals in the Los Lagos region takes place. It takes place in Castro, on the island of Chiloé. Natural products from the archipelago are showcased: smoked salmon, honey, local potatoes, cheeses, apple chicha and more. Sheep are sheared, and regional craftsmanship and gastronomic delights are showcased. The festival culminates in the completion of the Minga (an ox-drawn house).
