To reach the Hotel Veliche, head west of town, across the bridge over the Río Gamboa. Overlooking the lagoon and its varied birdlife, this beautiful wooden building houses a number of charming little rooms where natural elements predominate. It's a peaceful spot that you can also visit for its incredible restaurant, run by young Natalia, a gourmet who takes great pleasure in adapting Chilean grandmother recipes to her own taste, while conscientiously choosing the ingredients.
