Situated 4 km from the town on the road to the Alerce Andino Park, this pretty popular beach is lined with restaurants and bars. In Mapuche, its name means "the mussel estuary": yet another clue to the abundance and quality of the fruit! Also, if you want to take a dip, take a break: you can swim and enjoy the calm waters, which are warmer than elsewhere. Rare case at the gates of Patagonia! There is also the recently rebuilt Santa Cruz Chapel, modelled on the typical churches of Chiloé. To get there, take a bus on Juan Soler Manfredini Avenue, on the seafront (next to the train station).
