Located near the Cajón del Maipo, about 65 km south-east of Santiago, the small town of Lagunillas reaches an altitude of 2,200 metres. Between snow-covered mountains and blue sky, the agitation of Santiago is already far behind... The place, still little frequented by tourists, hosts one of the oldest ski resorts in Chile and its thirteen slopes are regularly visited by Santiaguinos eager for fresh air when the weekend comes. The ski centre offers lessons for beginners. It is also one of the few ski resorts where skiers can practice night skiing.
