oldest church in the city, built in 1855 by Louis Guerren, the only church to offer mass in 3 languages

The most remarkable church in the city is Our Lady of Angels Church (also called Kaps Koil). It is the fourth oldest church in the city. Built in 1855 by the French architect Louis Guerren, it has an original Greco-Roman structure. Its beautiful pastel pink color blends beautifully with the deep blue of the sky and it is visible from the Avenue Goubert promenade. It is the only church that offers mass in three languages, namely French, Tamil and English.
