Small ethnological museum exhibiting the endangered lifestyles of the mountain tribes of Kerala, with a wealth of objects, tools, etc.
This small but exciting ethnological museum is part of the Kerala Institute for Research Training & Development on Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes (KIRTADS). It presents the endangered lifestyles of the hill tribes of Kerala. Their different habitats are reconstructed in life size. A multitude of objects, tools and handicrafts used by these tribes are also exhibited. Cultural events (dance, music, festivals) are regularly scheduled.
