A small Indo-Portuguese museum dating from 1506, featuring Catholic objects of worship, including an teak altar, statues and more.
Built in 1506 as a residence for the Portuguese governor of Cochin, this building was later the residence of bishops. This small Indo-Portuguese museum presents objects of Catholic worship, including an 11th century teak altar, statues, priestly vestments, crosses... These objects trace the history of the Portuguese bishops of the city. A large world map informs us about the influence of the Portuguese Church in the world through the centuries.
