MOUNT CARMEL CHURCH

Located on a small hill in the center of Munnar, Mount Carmel Church has been watching over the city since its foundation in 1898. It was the first active church in the Western Ghats. This white church has a nice colonial architecture and also houses a small museum where you can admire old paintings. It is possible to take pictures inside outside of the mass hours which are held on Sundays at 7:30 am and 9:30 am, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 am and 4:30 pm, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 am and 5 pm.
