FOLKLORE MUSEUM

This museum is worth a visit, although most of the explanations are written in Kannada. It is located in a very beautiful house which has a room with finely carved columns and balconies. It exhibits folkloric objects from Karnataka. One can admire wooden and leather puppets and headdresses, ceremonial and show costumes, musical instruments and religious objects... The collection also includes some folkloric ornaments from neighboring states, such as this Kathakali costume from Kerala.
