Place de la Libération with palm trees, an araucaria tree with a fountain in the center and buildings with arched arcades

This square is the heart of Larache and its cultural showcase. In the middle are palm trees and a magnificent araucaria tree with a fountain in the center. All around, buildings house arched arcades. Alleys lead from the square down to the sea, offering superb ocean views. On the other side of the square stands the Bab el-Khemis gateway, made of thin horizontal bricks and lit up at night, which opens onto the medina. The promenade is just a few metres from the square.
