This church-run establishment is managed by Pastor Manfred Kühle. The restaurant and bar are the perfect place to relax, where you can enjoy spotting the parrots hiding in the garden trees. It's a green setting that offers peace and serenity. Everything is perfectly maintained: the beds, the air conditioning, the bathroom with hot water, the wardrobe, the fridge and the textiles in the rooms. C'est vraiment un foyer
Vraiment extra. Après plusieurs passages, toujours propre, convivial. On se croirait à la maison. D'un calme impressionnant en plein centre ville de Douala. Des plats bien faits. En plus le coût de la chambre pas du tout exorbitant comme ceux environnants.

Le Foyer du Marin est une bulle de verdure et de calme situé au cœur du quartier d’Akwa avec en plus une piscine. Le Foyer du Marin est indéniablement un des hôtels ayant le meilleur qualité/prix avec un personnel agréable même s’il est à regretter le service souvent un peu lent ainsi que l’absence de wifi…
A recommander vivement à tous ceux de passage dans la ville très urbaine de Douala pour y séjourner ou y prendre un verre. L'hôtel étant au bout d'une impasse soyez tout de même prudent surtout en soirée.

A MA GRANDE SURPRISE LE PERSONNEL SE DÉBATTAIT A VOULOIR ATTRAPER UN BOA DE PLUS DE 2 MÈTRES DE LONG QUI ÉTAIT CACHE DERRIÈRE LES MARCHES D ESCALIERS QUI MÈNENT DANS LES CHAMBRES DU 1ER.
APRÈS MAINTES TENTATIVES POUR ATTRAPER CE BOA VIVANT CE DERNIER S EST ÉCHAPPE DANS LE JARDIN DE L HÔTEL DONC C EST ALORS QU ON ME FAIT COMPRENDRE QUE RIEN NE SERAIT FAIT POUR LE TUER.
