EPIPHANY CATHEDRAL

The Cathedral of the Epiphany is located in the heart of the city, overlooking a once bustling Lenina square, between its market, shops, stock exchange and river port. It was erected at the end of the 18th century. During the Soviet period, from 1941 to 1989, the religious building, closed to worship, housed a rubber shoe factory. Today it has been returned to the faithful and has resumed its spiritual functions. It can be visited as well as attending services.
