Located on the southern border of Jiddat Al Harasis, the land of Harasis and oryx, the village of Sawqrah is a stone's throw from the cape of the same name. It's a simple landmark on the map and on the road that leads to the next village of Ash Shuwaymiyyah, a small fishing port also known for its basket-weaving activity, 138 kilometers away. We head for this destination to discover its magnificent wadi, but not before having crossed the Shalim plateau for some twenty kilometers. Around thirty kilometers long and particularly wide, the wadi is extremely scenic and all the more attractive for being so little frequented.
