Several self-sufficiency runs from 21 to 215 kilometers in the Sharqiyah Sands desert.
Oman Desert Marathon is a 165 km self-sufficiency race divided into 4 stages. Runners carry their own equipment throughout the adventure: sleeping bag and food, with water supplied at checkpoints every 10 km. With average temperatures fluctuating between 13 and 30°C, the route takes in all kinds of terrain: sand dunes, dry wadis, stony areas, palm groves... It's an extreme challenge in an incredible setting in the heart of the desert, following ancient caravan routes right down to the turquoise waters of the Arabian Sea.
