During the Vietnam War, the airport, built by the Americans, was one of the busiest in the region. Today it is the third largest international airport in the country. It has been modernized, equipped with a lighting system and an automatic guidance system that make it capable of handling any aircraft, day or night. Dailyflights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Also flights to Pleiku, Vinh, Dà Lat, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong or Doha.
