Port of Agios Nikolaos, a beautiful address for a night walk.
Because of its charm and location, it is the real centre of the city. Protected by the islands of Agion Panton, serving as natural ramparts both against invaders and against winds that can be powerful, during the Venetian period 25 galleys could dock there, which was considerable for that time. It is very small and surrounded by pretty houses, mostly hotels and restaurants. At night, the lights of the ships give it a fairy-tale and romantic look, and it is the best time to come and walk there.

Belle promenade sur le port
Le matin, à la fraîche, il en faut pas hésiter à aller se promener le long du port d'Agnos Nikolaos : entre activités estivales, la place est belle pour les marins crètois. Après avoir dépasser les bâteaux, la promenade se prolonge avec une superbe vue sur les côtes crêtoises surplombée par une magnifique statue du Minotaure célèbre habitant de l'île aux temps de l'Antiquité !

Le port a Agios Nikolaos est un point d'intérêt à visiter sans tarder. Port très agréable pour se ballader et découvrir la ville. Beaucoup de petites boutiques et de restaurants.

Agios Nikolaos et son port sont une étape incontournable si vous souhaitez découvrir la Crete. En cherchant bien vous trouverez quelques petites plages où vous rafraîchir avant d aller déguster une excellente Pita pour 3 sous au cœur du port!
