Museum in Heraklion dedicated to the Cretan and Greek fauna and flora.
An extremely rich museum dedicated to the Cretan and Greek fauna and flora. It offers life-size reconstructions of Mediterranean natural areas and ecosystems, unique fossils of mammals, stuffed animals while a part is dedicated to live animals. Discover also the gigantic Dinotherium, the3rd largest land mammal in the world. Finally, on level -2, experience an earthquake! Sensations and emotions guaranteed!

Malheureusement ce musée ne rend pas compte de cette richesse . Il est loin du compte.
La seule attraction intéressante est la reconstitution grandeur nature de quelques dinosaures.
Les informations inscrites sur les pancartes ne sont données qu'en 2 langues: grec et anglais. Si vous comprenez l'anglais vous pourrez vous rendrez compte que ces informations sont très maigres et peu intéressantes.
Plus choquant vous ne trouverez rien sur la richesse botanique de la Crète.
Encore plus choquant vous pourrez observer dans des aquarium de pauvres animaux vivants et malheureux.
Pour résumer ne gâchez pas votre temps ni votre argent(8 euros l'entrée!!!) dans ce "musée".
