PÈLERINAGE DE LA GHRIBA

The Ghriba Synagogue Pilgrimage is one of the most important cultural events on the island of Djerba and in southern Tunisia. Thousands of Jewish pilgrims flock every year from all over the world to the Ghriba Synagogue for this pilgrimage which is held after the Jewish Passover in the oldest synagogue in Africa. All the life of the peaceful Djerba is modified. This pilgrimage is above all a magnificent symbol of the particularly harmonious living together on the island of Djerba, regardless of the confessions of each person.
