BASILIC

The Basilica of St. Peter of Kef, also called Dar El Kous (meaning "house of the arch"), is a Christian church of the^5th century. Built on the site of an ancient Roman temple, the church is dedicated to St. Peter and built in stone. St. Peter's Basilica measures 39 by 15 meters and has six components: a narthex, a nave framed by two aisles, a choir and an apse.

Its remarkable state of preservation justified its reuse as a place of worship during the French protectorate of Tunisia.
