The Great Mosque of Bizerte was built in the seventeenth century. The minaret of Ottoman style is octagonal and has several floors. The last floor, strangely wider than the tower, is flanked by a corbel formed on each side by three small arches in accolade resting on corbels. With its pretty yellow stones, it is the most beautiful minaret of all Bizerte which rises above the old city. Close to the Great Mosque, is located the zaouïa of Sidi Mokhtar Dey, a patron saint of the city of Bizerte.

donc cela ne m'empêche certainement pas de "visiter" des lieux "religieux , - quelle que religion que ce soit - comme ceux de
LA GRANDE MOSQUEE
Construite au XVIIe siècle , avec son minaret octogonal qui comporte plusieurs étages.
Le dernier, plus large que la tour, est flanqué d'un encorbellement formé sur chaque face de trois petits arcs en accolade reposant sur des corbeaux. C'est le plus beau minaret de toute la ville.
