HOTEL-RESTAURANT VAGABONDO

I booked to stay here on 10/15. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen personal emergency, I had to cancel and immediately let them know on 10/27. I received an e-mail back that they would check with their manager due to it being nonrefundable and see if they can approve a refund, which I appreciated as I truly had every intention of going. I have now followed up multiple times and have yet to hear back.

I have been so stressed out about my personal emergency (I cannot share details, it is too traumatic) and now I have to stress about this. It has been over a week since I have heard anything. I also went on their website to send a customer support form and have heard nothing.

I will never recommend Selina to anyone, especially after I shared my situation with friends who have stayed at Selina all over the world and have had instances where they were charged MONTHS later by Selina randomly and even when a location closed where they showed UP to their reservation and had no idea the location closed. They confirmed that their customer support is nonexistent.

small rooms and old furniture. bathrooms are smelly and dirty. common areas are nice and pool great. welcome drink is always nice!

I love the social scene, the free yoga classes, and access to the cowork office. The premise is very clean. The staff are very helpful and communicative. They accommodated my several changes, which I appreciate.

But oh god, like other reviews have said, the dorm rooms are terrible. They’re so crammed, smell really bad, and the storage space is horribly designed. I mean if we have to, we’ll get used to it, but I’m also thinking if you’re very tall or have big legs, there will be much discomfort. All the intended locks are not working and/or pretty much useless.

Lastly, while some tours are reasonably priced, for the most parts, Selina’s shuttle prices are high. However, the rides were all smooth and very nice drivers. If you could afford it for your peace of mind like I did, it might be worth it.

Sehr kleiner Dorm für 6 Personen. Leckeres Frühstück & sehr nettes Restaurant Personal. Schöne Gemeinschaftsumgebung (Feuerstelle, Pool, Sitzgelegenheiten). Gut gelegen direkt eine Strasse neben Hauptstrasse, wo unzählige Restaurants sind.

Like others have stated, this is a great place to meet people. The pool, bar, and public areas including a fire are nice. The staff were adequately friendly and helpful. The problem is the bedrooms are way too small for the number of people that are in them, and the bunks are wooden boxes which obstruct the light and ventilation. The whole room reeked of humidity, mold, and mildew. Fun placed to be, not a great place to sleep. Also, they charge $5 to rent a towel, which is obscene considering the prices that towels can be bought for ($10) and the towel rental prices at other hostels ($0.00 to $1.00)
