Small, refined boutique hotel with bungalows and swimming pool, including the upstairs room overlooking the surrounding jungle

Behind the famous Citrus restaurant, Marcella has opened this small and very refined boutique-hotel. The bungalows are in fact individual houses on stilts. The second floor, entirely open, hosts a private kitchen, dining area, living room, and bathroom. Upstairs, the bedroom overlooks the surrounding jungle. The interior decoration, second passion of the chef Marcella, is very tasteful. You will enjoy swimming in the splendid pool nestled in the vegetation.

Das Hotel liegt ca 2 km vom nächsten Strand entfernt. Unser Zimmer ist eingebettet mitten im Regenwald, was sehr idyllisch ist. Das Zimmer hat riesige bis auf den Boden reichende Fenster mit Sicht in den Wald. Auch im Badezimmer geht das Fenster bis auf den Plättliboden. Auf der Terrasse gibt es einen Whirlpool für uns alleine. Der Swimmingpool ist klein, jedoch sauber.

Bungalow ist grosszügig und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Leider lag unser Bungalow zwischen einem Tennisplatz und dem Pool. Vom Tennisplatz kamen schon um 5.30 morgens die ersten Schlag- und Stöhngeräusche und vom Pool her wurde man mit Kindergeschrei beschallt. Die Hauptstrasse hört man auch zu gut. Duschmittel fehlte anfangs ganz. Auf Nachfragen hin, erhielten wir zwei Mini-Tübchen für 4 Nächte. Warmwasser gab es zur Hälfte der Zeit nicht und an einem Tag gar kein Wasser. Das kann mal passieren. Die Warmwasserleitung wurde auf Anfrage repariert. Preisleistung stimmte für uns nicht.

Nous avons passé 3 superbes nuits dans notre chambre au milieu de la forêt ! L’hôtel n’est pas sur une rue principale, il est donc très paisible.
La chambre était très propre avec air conditionné + ventilateur intérieur et extérieur. Le lit king size (2m) nous a permis de passer des nuits reposantes sur le matelas très confortable. La douche était spacieuse avec vue sur la nature.
Le petit déjeuner était au choix, servi à l’heure souhaitée à la chambre et très copieux.
La piscine était très agréable (attention, ne pas oublier l’anti moustiques !)
Nous avons profité de l’épicerie (un peu chère), de la pharmacie et du restaurant qui sont juste à côté.
Le service laverie était efficace : notre linge est revenu très rapidement, replié et frais pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable.

Super endroit personnel souriant et très serviable nous y avons séjourné 4 jours . Endroit très propre . Le seul bémol avec une maisonnette la salle de bain est au premier étage inconvénient pour la nuit.

I can’t say enough good things about Tangara Azul! We stumbled upon it only because it allowed dogs, but we were blown away. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. It’s a quick drive/walk to the beach and the hotel itself is attached to a nice little market, bar and a phenomenal restaurant. We loved it!!
