Establishment located at the entrance of the national park, a few kilometers from the city center, with terrace on the garden.
Run by a charming French couple, Perrine and Mathieu are very attentive. The place is ideally located at the entrance of the national park and 3 km from the city center. You can swim in the pool or enjoy the whirlpool while listening to good music. The Red Hummingbird offers activities and excursions off the usual tourist trails, Perrine and Mathieu know the area and the service providers very well, they can concoct a whole program for you over several days. An establishment that really improves with time.

We had the pleasure of staying one night at El Colibri Rojo. We arrived fairly early at 9 am and the managers were very accommodating. They offer a daily shuttle service to cahuita at 8:30 so guests can hike from cahuita all the way to puerto vargas where the hotel is situated. Also, there is an additional communal area where we could get changed before heading into the park. Since we had missed the shuttle service, they offered to drive us into cahuita. After returning from our tour, we were lucky to see two sloths in the trees next to the hotel pool. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and inviting. All was perfect and we recommend this place.

Très bon hotel pour visiter le parc national de Cahuita avec un accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires! L'hotel est calme et reposant, les chambres sont bien équipées.

Stayed here for two nights and were very happy with this accommodation. Very welcoming owners, nice facilities (pool, grill and kitchen for guests) and a shuttle service to Cahuita.

Accueil chaleureux par les propriétaires Perrine et Matthieu qui nous ont donné de très bons conseils pour visiter Cahuita et ses environs. L’hôtel est vraiment sympas avec un petit dej au top, et une piscine pour se rafraîchir.
On devait normalement rester 2 nuits et on en a passé 4 car l’hôtel est bien situé et les propriétaires sont très sympas
