TIANJIN BINHAI LIBRARY

Officially inaugurated in October 2017, the images of this wonderful and majestic building have done nothing less than a world tour. Designed and created by the Dutch architectural firm MVRDV in cooperation with the Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute (TUPDI), this vast 5-storey building has an area of 33,700 ^m2 and contains some one million two hundred thousand books, installed around a central auditorium with about a hundred seats. Today, the complex is affectionately known as the eye by the city's inhabitants, who rushed en masse to its inauguration.
