Located in Yongdingmen in the district of Chongwen, in a large modern building north of the west entrance of the Temple of Heaven Park, this museum is not typically Chinese, but it is very well thought out and interesting.
Visit
Impressive collection on the ground floor of skeletons and fossils, some of which have 100 to 500 million years. We remain pantois in front of the gigantic skeleton of the dinosaur, Qingdausaurus, 135 million years old (5 m tall and nearly 7 m long) or in front of Mamenchisaurus aged 165 million years and a length that avoids the 13 m.
Impressive cœlacanthe, fossil fish whose celebrity is no longer to be done. The exhibition shows the evolution of flora and fauna in China over a period of 400 million years.
On the top floor, an exhibition deals with the evolution of the human fetus and of the malformations, some of which, due to the whims of nature, swim in formol… The part "Flora" is also interesting.
