It all started with a delicatessen opened half a century ago. The reputation of the establishment led the owner to create the restaurant in 2019. The secret of quality is simple, says the owner: "we have the slow food spirit, the animals come from my farm and the wine from small local producers. The resale space also offers cheeses and fine products. The vaulted room, which dates back to the Middle Ages, is superb, but it is especially in the plate that the gustatory adventure is striking. Opened in 2020, in the heart of the Marina district, this address is particularly appealing to ichthyophagous, or more simply to lovers of fish and seafood! Because here, from antipasti (raw or cooked) to dishes, everything comes from the sea. You have been warned! Sea bass or sea bream tartar, spaghetti with cockles and bottarga, ravioli with the fish of the day, linguine with lobster for the most chic among you... A real treat. As for the decor, old photos and fishing traps form a nice jumble. Don't forget to book, especially in the evening.

One of the best hotels in town can't do without a good table. This is the place to come to learn about Sardinian cuisine in a cosy setting. The chef takes over some of the great regional specialities, which he modernizes and lightens. The products are carefully selected from the best farmers on the island and skilfully enhanced by the talents of the sommelier who draws from his collection of prestigious bottles. You can choose between the bourgeois Art Deco style dining room or the adorable winter garden enclosed within four walls.

At Mari Mannu, the sea is no joke. We only serve fish and shellfish, so forget the meat! You choose your own fish on the advice of our friendly staff. Prepare your taste buds! You'll only taste fish from the Cabras and Marceddi fisheries on the west coast. One of the restaurant's specialties is fried whole octopus, and Le Futé recommends the antipasti mix as a starter. The interior decor features objects brought in from the sea or washed up on the beach. A fine address.

Fish restaurants are similar and sometimes equal. We are rarely disappointed in Cagliari but Il Malandrino seduced us by the happiness that emanates from the atmosphere and the welcome. The staff is really professional, very attentive and the owner is a darling. In the plate, it is generous, well presented and delicious. We like the terrace in the pedestrian street and the atmosphere at the end of the day. Our favorite is the octopus which, in this restaurant, is cooked in a thousand ways according to the chef's mood. Everything is extra fresh and we love it.

For many Cagliaritans it is the best pizzeria in town. Always crowded, the atmosphere is noisy and cheerful. But the fun stops at the kitchen doors. The pizzaiolo takes great care in selecting the products. The pizza dough here is rigorously prepared with mother leaven, as for the dough flour, it is chosen for its digestive qualities. Taste the "transhumance" pizza made with soft mozzarella, smoked mullet, cherry tomatoes and Sardinian pecorino cheese, not found elsewhere!
