The Q Station (Quarantine Station), originally intended to quarantine passengers from ships suspected of having contagious diseases, operated from 1828 to 1984. Today, it is a historic building that welcomes more than 100,000 visitors per year. There is a luxurious hotel complex, a visitor center and a museum-cafe. Many themed tours are organized there. The most famous are the History Tour and the Ghost Tour, each of which has several versions.
