Elizabeth Bay House is one of the few historic houses in Sydney that is open for tours. It was built between 1835 and 1839 for Alexander Macleay and his family, then Colonial Secretary of New South Wales and a noted naturalist. It is a venue for cultural events and exhibitions. From the porch, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Elizabeth Bay. You can visit it freely or ask the reception staff for information. There are also paper guides available in French.
