Simply because you cannot renovate them every year.
Sooner or later they will date.
What is important …
is that the rooms were extremely clean and tidy.
Air-conditioned.
A swimming pool.
Breakfast.
And Security around the clock.
And the staff go beyond their duty to assist you in.
Anyway they can.
This includes to assist you to find a motel in the next village or the next island and help organise it
