MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY (МУЗЕЙ МУЗЕЙ)

The Museum of Archaeology of Sozopol exhibits ancient collections, including many ceramics. Located in the old town, it evokes the history of the city, from the end of the ^6th millennium BC for archaeology and from the ^17th to the ^19th century for Christian art. We see the alabaster casket that enclosed the relics of St. John the Baptist discovered during the 2010 excavations. These relics have been transferred to the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
