ST. VISSARION'S CATHEDRAL

In Bulgarian: Прославлението на св. свещеномъченик Висарион. 382 sqm and 32 m high, you can see from afar this huge cathedral inaugurated in 2006! It is now the second largest church in Bulgaria after Alexander Nevsky in Sofia. Its size and its contemporary architecture confirm the modern orientation of Smolyan. A building not to be missed, therefore, during your visit to the region. However, you should be able to see it without any problem.
